B.A Mass Communication is a three-year programme. This Course is exclusively designed to prepare students for the continuously evolving media & communication industry. The programme outline is prepared to offer a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to the students through subjects like reporting, editing, radio communication, creative writing, etc.

The first year introduces foundational concepts of media, followed by industry-required skill building through a balanced mix of theory and practical classes in the second year thereby finally leading to specialization in key domain areas of media including print media, broadcast media, public relations, advertising, and digital media in the final year.

Eligibility Criteria for B.A Mass Communication

1. Candidates must have completed Class 12 from a recognised board in any discipline.

2. Candidates should have secured a minimum aggregate score of 45% or more in subjects.

3. They must have a minimum aggregate of 55% to qualify for the program.

Admission Process

1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.

2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark the cut-off mark.

3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.

4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.

5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
